BioShock. The Future?

Category: General, XBox 360

There’s no doubt that I love BioShock. The story, the game play, the general fun without my anger pushing me to traject a controller through the window when I hit a block I can’t pass. Just an overall great game. It was also fun for my fiance, as she prefers to sit and watch over playing the games herself. The story and environment was enough to keep her enthused. It actually takes over portions of our life outside of the game as well.

Would You Kindly?
Often times, when asking my fiance for something from the kitchen, I open the question with “would you kindly?”

Me: Baby, can you go get me a drink?
Baby: Hell no. Get it yourself.

Me: Baby, would you kindly get me a drink?
Baby: OK.

Works every time.

It’s The Future!
If you don’t know the story of BioShok, it’s set in the past (early 1900’s), in an underwater city, built by a man looking to get away from the brutal and unforgiving world that is America. I won’t give too much away, but obviously this city is thrust into chaos through a series of brutally (but mostly kid-safe) violent events. You get stuck down there by another set of unlucky (or is it???) events. Thus the game continues.

Let me sidetrack for a moment. Becuase we constantly discuss wedding plans, our online search often brings us to hotels and resort locations (yeah…this is so much more fun than playing XBox). Constantly reviewing hotel websites, calling hotels, looking into prices and packages. This is my life.

Well, while searching, yet again, my fiance happened upon a list of underwater hotels and resorts. Immediately she grabbed the gun and some needles (you’ll understand when you play the game) and started for the door.

Baby: We have to save them!!! Come on!!!
Me: Who?

She shows me the link…

Needless to say, we will be spending our honeymoon at one of these fine places. We’ve been stalking up on Adam and Plasmids, and will be on vigilant lookout for little girls with giant scuba diver companions.

So, check out the link…would you kindly?
