Original Gameboy is Bomb Proof
Cnet has an article up on a few gadgets they voted as most rugged, bomb proof gadgets ever. The original Gameboy got major kudos for taking a licking but keeping on ticking. Not really a surprise, Nintendo is pretty well known for making solid products. Even if my old green lcd screen had lines up and down it.
I would also have voted the Nintendo 64 in the list. Sure the library of games stunk and caused irreversible damage to my fragile psyche and tarnished the name of Nintendo in my eyes forever, but it could still take a beating. After running over a used N64 in a mall parking lot with my SUV 4 times, flushing it in a toilet then lighting it on fire with kerosene we still got a bootup screen.
Now only if we had a good game to play in it. How about Robotech 64. Oh wait…
