Soul Calibur 4 Updated Info
Just a quick update to the news Falthorn broke a little earlier today on the big Star Wars crossover. It appears that fanboy dreams of Vader vs Yoda may not come to fruition after all, as each character is an exclusive to each system.
Odd, I know but here is an excerpt from Namco Bandai’s own press release: “As part of this monumental collaboration, the Sith Lord Darth Vader will appear as a guest character in the PLAYSTATION3 system version of the title, and Jedi Master Yoda will be available for the Xbox 360. ” Thing of it is, I know I’ll get the Xbox360 version just for the achievements but I’d rather play Vader over Yoda. Damn you Namco! Although given their previous trends of jackin’ people for downloadable content via XBL Marketplace, I’m sure all the assets for Vader will actually be in the 360 version and easily obtained with a 64k unlock key downloaded for a low, low 250 MS Points .

Huh. That’s a bummer, but expected after SC2’s dispersion of Link, Spawn and Heihachi among the console releases. The choice of which character goes where is pretty amusing since the 360 is the more petite, green unit and the PS3 is a big, black bastard.
