So i’m going through my Gamefly list and being a RPG junkie I was thinking of trying out Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for Xbox 360. I download the demo from Marketplace and notice there is downloadable content up for it already. Looking at it I find it’s just some weapons and accessories for your characters for either 400 or 800 MS points. The thing that set me off about this was the fact the game isn’t even out yet.

Never been much of a football fan but wow what a great Super Bowl game that was. Probably better for me since I wasn’t really a fan of either team, just watching to see who wanted it more. Speaking of acts of God, my 360 is on its way back from Texas, and hopefully back up to working condition, just in time for the onslaught of games coming up and some XBLA games I’ve missed out on for the last three weeks.

Being out with a flu bug makes my rant meter worse so to keep my pent up rage from hitting a poor unsuspecting Nintendo fanboy I took the day off. Which ended up a good thing considering the interesting discussion I had last night at the NeoGaf forums about the Video Game Rental industry. We were lucky enough to have some industry people weigh in on the discussion about video game rentals and if they were bad for the developers and publishers, or not. Those in the industry were pretty quick to say the video game developers (publishers) were being hosed.

Can we please stop acting like Final Fantasy XIII has even the most remote chance of coming out in 2008?! It kills me that we are not playing it anytime soon but for those who keep insisting on putting Final Fantasy XIII in your 2008 Playstation 3 games list just stop, for the love of humanity stop.

The only country that has even that slim chance of playing it is Japan and its still a very minisucle chance. No new trailers, a few pics, no demo or word of a demo all of these things point to nothing in 2008. “So when will it be out?” you ask? No I don’t know, except not 2008. Going by the last generations Final Fantasy release schedule I would guess Feb/March 2009 in Japan then November 2009 for the U.S.
